I used to hear the Carter Family played a lot around my house when I was a kid. I'm not sure why but this song just got in amongst me. Something about its poignant, visceral lyrics ("in the cold silent marshes, you'll find my lonely grave") spoke to my depths. I gave it the dubious benefit of Julia's Patented Shoe Horned Flat 3 & Flat 7 treatment, and there you have it.
